The Jalapeno Half is our premier distance event in Fort Worth. This will be our fifth edition of the Jalapeno Half. This year we add a 10k together with our 5k. All three distance are part of challenges! Everyone gets a finisher medal! Can you handle the heat of the Jalapeno Half, 5k & 10K?

When you register online, you will see a box in our entry form that will say “Stuff Happens”, Check that box and $5 will be added to your final fee. If for any reason you cannot cross the start line your entry fees can be applied to a future Mellew Productions event Make sure you read the programs rules.

The Jalapeno will use the latest chip timing technology, which records your time precisely from start to finish. Your timing chip will be in your bib. Just put your bib on and you are good to go.
The Half, 10k & 5k will have awards for the top male and female overall and the top male and female masters. We will present awards to the top three finishers both male and female in the following age groups 14 & under, 15-19,20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+.
Please check your age group finish placement before leaving the event. If you cannot stay for awards, we will allow you to visit our awards table to get your award. To have it mailed to you later will cost you $15!
We will only announce the overall winners in the Half. All half age group winners will be able to visit our awards table and simply pick up your award.
All finishers of The Jalapeno will receive a great Jalapeno medal

We will have plenty of water along the course.There will be water stations on the course about 1 and 1.5 miles apart and will offer iced-down H2O and sports drink.
Female Runners – Think Pink!
Mellew Productions is pleased to announce that we will now offer a pink station at Jalapeno. The station will be identified by a pink sign. You will find feminine supplies as needed. Just ask one of the volunteers to direct you to the supply case.
Port o Lets
There will be plenty of restrooms and port-o-lets at the event site as well as port-o-lets along the both courses.
