The Hottest Half , 10k & 5k is the original summer half marathon. Before the Hottest Half there were no half marathons in Texas during the summer. We have survived the heat and now we will be celebrating our 10th edition in 2017! Summer Half Marathon? No problem! Let’s do the Hottest!

Stuff Happens Program
When you register online, you will see a box in our entry form that will say “Stuff Happens”, Check that box and $5 will be added to your final fee. If for any reason you cannot cross the start line your entry fees can be applied to a future Mellew Productions event Make sure you read the programs rules.

All finishers of all distances of The Hottest will receive our great 10th anniversary medal!
The Hottest will use the latest chip timing technology, which records your time precisely from start to finish. Your timing chip will be in your bib. Just put your bib on and you are good to go.
The Half & 10k & 5k will have awards for the top male and female overall and the top male and female masters. We will present awards to the top three finishers both male and female in the following age groups 14 & under, 15-19,20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+.
Please check your age group finish placement before leaving the event. If you cannot stay for awards, we will allow you to visit our awards table to get your award. To have it mailed to you later will cost you $15!
We will only announce the overall winners in the Half. All half age group winners will be able to visit our awards table and simply pick up your award.
Ron Kirk Bridge – Dallas Trinity River
To get to Ron Kirk bridge just take Woodall Rodgers south over The Margaret Hunt Bridge until it ends and turn into the Four Corners area.
There will be plenty of free parking next to the event start/finish.
Half Marathon, 5k & 10k

We will have new courses this year as we have moved our start/finish line to the Ron Kirk Bridge.
We will have plenty of water along the course.There will be water stations on the course about 1 and 1.5 miles apart and will offer iced-down H2O and sports drink.
Female Runners – Think Pink!
Mellew Productions is pleased to announce that we will now offer a pink station at Jalapeno. The station will be identified by a pink sign. You will find feminine supplies as needed. Just ask one of the volunteers to direct you to the supply case.
Port o Lets
There will be plenty of restrooms and port-o-lets at the event site as well as port-o-lets along the both courses.
Average Low in August in Dallas is 69 degrees F and High is 91 degrees F.
