Four Seasons Challenge

Details:
This is your opportunity to challenge yourself to complete four half marathons. They are spread out enough so that you don't have to train extensively but just enough to give yourself annual training goals. This challenge will not be complicated. The Rules are few and the process is simple. Run a half marathon in all four seasons in the Four Seasons Half Marathon Challenge.
The Rules:
You must run the four half marathons in succession. You must tell us by email that you doing the challenge. If you do not tell us, we will not have you on the challenge list and rewards will be delayed!
You can start the challenge with any of the events. This means that if your first half marathon is at Big D then your last one will be at the Texas Half the following year.
If you run the full marathon at Big D and The Tyler Rose that will count towards the half marathon challenge, but you still will need to participate in each event to qualify.
All you need to do is email us at sherry@mellew.com and inform us that you are taking the challenge and with which event you intend to start with. After each event we will look for your results and when we see that you have completed all four in a row, we will have your reward after your last event.
The Challenge is on!
If you missed the first event in our challenge, no worries. Your first leg of the challenge can be any of the other three events this year. Again our main rule is wherever you start you must do the all four in a row. You cannot skip or fail to finish in any of the events. So sign up today for The Texas HalfBig D, The Hottest Half or The Tyler Rose. Register for all four and your cost is just $45 per event. For the cost of running two of the "Mega" events in Dallas, you can do four for the same price or cheaper. More fun and less crowded!
Testimonial from one of our challenge members:
I just wanted to let you know that I am so happy that I signed up for the Four Season Challenge last year. I ran the March 27, 2011 Dallas Rock n Roll Half and it was my very first half marathon. A few months later I saw the Four Season Challenge and decided to go for it. My first leg of the challenge was The Hottest Half. It was great! I followed up with the Tyler Rose (I grew up in Tyler and that was one of the biggest reasons I wanted to do it). I have two more seasons to go for the challenge but in the meantime I have now run 7 half marathons since March 2011. After signing up for the Four Season Challenge I decided I wanted to go for even more than 4. My first goal was to do 6 in a year’s time. Then I bumped it up to 10. Now I have decided to run 12 half marathons in 12 months. The last race I am signed up for is the April 15th race (two weeks past the true 12 month time period) and that will be my final leg of the Four Season Challenge and my 12th half marathon in just a little over 12 months. I honestly don't think I would have run this many half marathons if not for the challenge so thanks for motivating me to get up and get running!
